Barcelona could miss out on signing ‘Little Lionel Messi’ Estevao Willian as top European clubs line up to sign the Brazilian wonderkid.
Fondly known as ‘Little Messi’, 16-year-old Brazilian sensation Estevao Willian is wanted by several top European clubs like Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.
The teenager, who recently made his senior debut for Palmeiras in the club’s final game of the season, is likely to move out of the Brazilian league when he turns 18 in 2025.
Barcelona were considered to be the favourites to land the youngster.
However, Willian had earlier mentioned that he dreams of playing for the Catalan giants.
But they could miss out on signing him, as the other competitors are more likely to match the player’s release clause that is €60 million (£52m/$66m) set by Verdao, according to Mundo Deportivo.
In October, the player’s father travelled to Europe where he visited several top clubs like City, Chelsea and PSG.
Similar to his son’s desire, his father also wants him to represent the Catalan giants.
But they are unlikely to spend a hefty amount considering their ongoing financial constraint.

The 16-year-old will aim to appear in as many matches as possible for Palmeiras in 2024 to impress top clubs across the world.
It remains to be seen which side matches his asking price and eventually signs him.
