Nigerian comedy legends, Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, and Bright Okpocha, better known as Basketmouth, have finally reconciled after a 17-year-long feud.
The two comedians have been at odds for over a decade.
They put an end to their dispute on September 14, 2024.
This coincides with Basketmouth’s 46th birthday.
Basketmouth marked his birthday by sharing a lively photo on Instagram.
He captioned it: “Say hello to the Birthday Boy. Life begins @ 46″.
Basically, he is celebrating this new chapter in his life with a playful tone.
To the surprise of many, AY responded with a heartfelt tribute.
He signals the end of their long-standing rift, which was rumoured to have originated over an unpaid debt.
In his message, AY referred to Basketmouth with the respectful Igbo title “Eze Gburugburu 1″.
He wished him a birthday full of joy and success.
He wrote: “Happy birthday, my bro. I wish you a fantastic birthday filled with joy and laughter! May your hard work and dedication continue to pay off.
May this year bring you new adventures, exciting opportunities, and all the success you deserve.
