The Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has pledged to address concerns raised by the (CRDCU) regarding incomplete data submissions.

Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, highlighted that the lack of accurate information was hampering efforts to assess the Ministry’s progress on key deliverables.

During a performance review of the Q1–Q3 2024 report, Usman urged the Ministry and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to refine their policies, particularly those related to airline sanctions.

She stressed the need for stricter enforcement due to rising flight delays and cancellations, which have negatively impacted passengers.

Another major concern was the lengthy 224-day timeline for resolving customer complaints.

Furthermore, he assured stakeholders that the Ministry would take proactive steps to address the highlighted challenges and enhance operational efficiency.

Despite the challenges, Usman commended the Ministry’s progress but requested for a greater engagement with stakeholders and passengers to build trust and accountability.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to delivering better results and ensuring a more responsive and efficient aviation sector for all stakeholders.
