Ariana Grande is advocating for mandatory therapy sessions for young celebrities, suggesting that weekly appointments should be included in their contracts.
Grande, who rose to fame at a young age with her roles on Broadway and Nickelodeon’s “Victorious,” said that she was just 19 when she started facing intense media attention.
“It’s something you work so hard to try and understand, and it will never make sense to me,” she said.
The pop star emphasized the need for therapy and mental health support for young celebrities.
“It’s so important that these record labels, these studios, these TV studios, these big production companies make it a part of the contract,” she said.
Grande also spoke about the importance of protecting young artistes from the negative impacts of fame. “They know how your life is going to change, and they’ve seen how it can impact people in a negative way,” she said.
“They should be responsible for protecting you from that.”
Grande’s comments come as she continues to prioritize her own mental health and well-being.
She has been open about her experiences with therapy and has encouraged her fans to prioritize their own mental health.
