Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, a distinguished son of Lafiagi, in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State has been appointed as the new Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) by President Bola Tinubu.
In addition, he is a seasoned diplomat and intelligence expert, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
He has served in various capacities, including as Nigerian Ambassador to Libya, Director at the NIA, and postings in North Korea, Pakistan, Sudan, and State House, Abuja.
Born in Lafiagi, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, he graduated from Bayero University, Kano in 1990.
Furthermore, his appointment as NIA DG is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and commitment to service.
The people of Kwara State, particularly those from Kwara North, Edu Local Government Area and Lafiagi, are celebrating the appointment of one of their own to this prestigious position.
