Super Eagles and Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has dismissed claims that his foray into music is a backup plan for life after football.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Making of Champions, the former Arsenal star emphasised that while he enjoys creating music, it is purely a passion and not a distraction from his football career.
“I’m just living life and making music, not overthinking my future,” Iwobi stated, shutting down speculation about his dual pursuits.
The 28-year-old, who recently released the Afro-Swing and Rap track What’s Luv?, clarified that music serves as a way to unwind from the demands of professional football.
He stressed that his commitment to the sport remains unwavering.
Iwobi’s debut single, Don’t Shoot, featuring fellow footballers Chuba Akpom and Medy Elito, earned nearly 60,000 streams on Spotify, garnering praise from fans.
His latest release highlights his close ties with rising artists while showcasing his creative side.
