Kate Henshaw, along with other celebrities made their support for Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi known via their social media accounts.
They won the hearts of fellow Obidients for their patriotism during the February 25 presidential elections for using their fame and platforms to share election updates from their polling units and even following up the process after the elections via their socials.
But the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) seems not to have merited their patriotism this time after aligning with the Supreme Court.
Reacting to the CBN directive about old Naira notes remaining legal tender until December 31, popular Nigerian actress Kate Henshaw posted on her Twitter timeline.
The angry actress said: “You brought untold hardship, got banks and their staff attacked, ignited protests with this cash confiscation policy of yours, then you turn around and do this??!!”
Indeed, people have praised the cashless policy of the CBN, but they say implementation was wrong.
It came with its own hardships, including loss of lives, businesses, and property for Nigerians.
