‘Real Reason I Joined Al Nassr’- Cristiano Ronaldo Opens Up

Portugal national team captain, Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up on why he signed up for the Saudi Arabia club, Al Nassr.

Recall that Ronaldo joined Al Nassr on Friday for an annual pay of $75 million.

Speaking about his two-year deal with the Saudi Arabian club, the 37-year-old striker disclosed that he has won everything he wanted to win in Europe, hence it was time to share his experience in Asia further.

“I am fortunate that I have won everything I set out to win in European football and feel now that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia.

“I am looking forward to joining my new teammates and together with them help the Club to achieve success,” Ronaldo said during a press interview moments after his signing.

Ronaldo became a free agent after leaving United following his controversial and damaging interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr is believed to be for seven years, according to a report by Dailymail. The Portuguese superstar will play for two years before accepting an ambassadorial position, and his compensation will rise over time.
