Canadian singer, Celine Dion has been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) and has had to postpone all shows.
The 54-year-old singer announced this via her official Instagram handle on Thursday.
Celine Dion explained that she is still learning and trying to understand the disease that has left her with uncontrollable muscles spasm and difficulties in walking and singing.
“Recently I’ve been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called the stiff person syndrome which affects one in a million people.

“While we’re still learning about this rare condition, we now know this is what’s been causing all the spasms I’ve been having,” she said.
SPS is a rare neurological disorder with features of an autoimmune disease that may cause a heightened sensitivity to stimuli such as noise, touch, and emotional distress.
The legendary singer revealed that she had been having issues with her health for a long time and would have to postpone her shows for next year.
In 2014, the singer put her career on hold while her husband, René Angélil battled cancer and she did the same again after the death of both her husband and her brother, Daniel Dion, in early 2016.
