Former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has explained why the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, cannot win the 2023 elections, tagging him as untrustworthy.

Oshiomhole claims Atiku is not trustworthy as he once said in Kaduna that they should not vote for a Yoruba candidate (Bola Tinubu) or an Igbo candidate (Peter Obi).

According to the former governor who spoke on Channels Television on Wednesday night, Atiku cannot be voted for because five major governors in his party are not even supporting him.

In his words, “It is no secret that you have at least five governors including governors that matters in the south-south when we talk about the stronghold of PDP. Now, some of the governors that were voting against Atiku, are from that part of the country.”

Oshiomhole noted that the PDP itself is not even peaceful, always facing different issues and its members are cross carpeting and which has affected Atiku’s image.

“PDP is a house divided against itself and the real damage being done to the reputation of the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is that governors, not unknown quantities, who had never decamped from PDP, who could be called PDP indigenes, they have spoken to the fact that you cannot trust the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and therefore they withdrew from the campaign council,” he said.

Oshiomhole also said Atiku was a “serial divorcee trying to preach family unity” and he would not listen to such.

According to reports gathered, Atiku has been married six times and divorced twice, the most recent divorce was with his ex-wife Jennifer Douglas, announced earlier this year.
