The Niger Delta Congress, NDC, Saturday, said it is aware that the Islamic States of Iran and Syria, ISIS and Al-Qeada have already established sleeper cells of terror groups in Edo State, Delta State and the Rivers State capital of Port Harcourt.
The group while responding to intelligence report by the United States Government said it is not surprised by the revelations of the US because it is aware that the three states have already been infiltrated by these armed and dangerous sleeper cells pending their expected attacks.

NDC while accusing the political leadership of the region of being asleep to their primary responsibility of protecting the lives and properties of the people of the region, called on the state governors of the six Niger Delta States particularly, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River to as a matter of urgency begin plans to establish a security outfit to serve the purpose of protecting the people of the region from what it described as expected attacks.
