The Gombe Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has a new Head; he is Ibrahim Shazali, fsi.
Shazali, a Deputy Chief Detective Superintendent, DCDC, was the second in command of the Kano Zonal office prior to his posting to Gombe on May 4, 2020.
He joined the EFCC in 2004 as administrative staff after obtaining a Bachelor of Science, B.Sc. in Business Administrations with specialisation in Actuarial Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1998 and later attended the first regular Cadet Training at Nigeria Police College, Ikeja, Lagos in 2005.
He had his Masters Degree in Forensic Accounting from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom in 2015 and also attended the National Institute for Security Studies and now a fellow Security Institute (fsi).

He served in various capacities as Team leader, Economic Governance, Lagos; Sectional Head, Banking Fraud, Abuja; Head, Procurement Fraud Section kano and double as 2ic of the Zone.
Before he joined the Commission, he worked as revenue accountant in the Savanah Airlines Limited and as an Intern in the International Human Right Law Groups between 2000 to 2002 and 2000 to 2003 respectively.
He takes over from Micheal Wetkast who is undergoing leadership course at the War College, Abuja.
