Starting a new chapter in life can be challenging, but it also brings opportunities to find a new purpose and make an impact.
This is especially true in faith and leadership, where choices can lead to both disagreements and fresh starts.
Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, formerly of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David Parish, has introduced a new ministry named The Family Fellowship in Lagos.

In a widely circulated video on Monday, Iluyomade was seen celebrating with attendees during the ministry’s inaugural service, held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Sunday.
The service was characterised by lively dancing and celebration.
Iluyomade announced the establishment of The Family Fellowship on Instagram, inviting the public to participate.
In his message, he share: “The Family Fellowship invites you specially.
“Join us tomorrow at the Civic Centre for a special time in the Lord’s presence. Promises to be a great experience”.
Previously, Iluyomade faced suspension from RCCG in 2024.

Reason For Suspension From RCCG
The decision followed criticism surrounding his wife, Pastor Siju’s 60th birthday celebration, which took place shortly after the tragic deaths of Herbert Wigwe, a significant church member and former CEO of Access Bank. Wigwe died along with his wife and son, in a helicopter crash in the United States.
The timing of the celebration, which occurred weeks after the tragedy, drew public criticism as being insensitive. Wigwe had been a notable supporter of the church before his passing.
The RCCG Governing Council subsequently convened a panel to investigate the matter, leading to the suspension of the Iluyomades for three months in June 2024.
They were reassigned to worship at the church’s headquarters in Ebute Metta and were notably absent from the Wigwe family’s funeral events.
Now, the couple has moved forward by establishing their ministry to continue their spiritual mission independently.
