Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer Asake has achieved two significant certifications in the United Kingdom, highlighting the continued success of his debut album Mr. Money With The Vibe.
The album, released in 2022, has been certified Brit Gold, marking Asake’s first gold album plaque in the UK.
milestone comes as the album continues to gain recognition for hit singles such as Sungba, Organise, and Jowo. Notably, Sungba has also earned a Brit Silver certification, further cementing Asake’s commercial appeal in the region.
Upon release, Mr. Money With The Vibe climbed to the top of the UK Apple Music Album chart, showcasing its wide-reaching impact.
Asake’s growing fanbase in the UK has seen him headline major venues, including the iconic O2 Arena.
The album, which won the Album of the Year award at the 2023 Headies, played a pivotal role in Asake’s rise to stardom.
His breakthrough came in January 2022 with the chart-topping single Omo Ope, featuring Olamide, which set the tone for his successful career.
