Crimes like murder often comes with the feeling of regrets, but not for Timileyin Ajayi, a 32-year-old gospel singer who was arrested for killing his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu.
It all started on Sunday, January 12.
It was on that fateful day that Timi was arrested while trying to dispose the head of the deceased after killing her and dismembering her body parts.
That was when all that was done in secret, came to light.
It was at this time that the real story began to unfold.
Adaidu, whom the suspect claimed to be his girlfriend, visited him at his house in the Papalana axis at New Karshi in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
She visited with hopes of having a good time with her man, unknown to her, Timileyin Ajayi had other plans.
How he killed his girlfriend still remains unclear.
However, what Timi failed to understand was that, everyday may be for the thief, but one day is for the owner.
After killing Salome, Timi took his time to cut her body parts into pieces to avoid recognition.
But then, there was still one problem- Salome’s head.
Timi ran out of luck when he went to dispose that head, all in an attempt to cover his tracks.
The Murderer’s Confession
As we speak, he has been remanded in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Nasarawa State Police Command in Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital.

At this point, understanding the motive behind his act became priority even as the echoes of justice could be heard loudly.
Timileyin Ajayi was brought out to share his confession and within a twinkle of an eye, there were cameras everywhere.
As newsmen bombarded Ajayi with questions, that was when the shocking confession began.
“I have no regrets killing her,” he said, leaving newsmen in shock.
Ajayi stated that he did not plan to kill Adaidu, but that he carried out the act because they do not have time for each other.
His words: “I killed her because we don’t have each other all the time, it’s not something I planned. It happened on that day and it happened. Not that I have the plan in mind, she was cheating. She hides most of the things from me most times. I got to know from her phone. I saw her chats with other guys on the phone, that was why I decided.”
He said, “I don’t have any regrets because life is reciprocal that is what I thought, if you must do something to someone, you have to be reciprocal with that person. You have to understand what that person is going through so that you can actually put yourself in the position that the person is going through, that is why I don’t have any regrets because we were actually compatible.”
