Two sons of Nigerian billionaire industrialist, Razaq Okoya, Subomi and Wahab, have been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for abusing the Naira.
In the invite signed by the acting director of the Lagos directorate of the EFCC, Michael Wetkas, the anti-graft agency directed the duo to report to the head of the special operations team at the 15A Awolowo Road office of the commission by 10am on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Okoya’s children have been the talk of the town for days now, for abusing the naira in a promotional video for a new song.
In the video, a policeman is seen holding some cash as the brothers dance and toss the naira notes into the air.
However, in a statement on Friday, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed that the policeman featured in the video has been detained.
Adejobi added that the policeman is being subjected to disciplinary action.
At this time, Okoya’s children remained free leaving Nigerians furious.
The police, EFCC, as well as the Federal Government had a fair share of the dragging that trailed this development.
