Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, a UK-based Nigerian clergyman and founder of SPAC Nation, recently made statements regarding his relationships with prominent Nigerian musicians Davido and Zlatan Ibile.
In an interview on the ‘Off The Record’ podcast, Adegboyega referred to Davido as a “gospel artiste”.
However, he explains that gospel means “good news,” and he believes Davido’s music embodies this message.
Also, he cited Davido’s song “Stand Strong” as an example.
Tobi Adegboyega also described Zlatan Ibile as his “son,”
He highlights their close relationship.
Also, he mentioned that Zlatan’s parents have visited his home, emphasising the familial bond they share.
These comments were made in response to criticism Tobi Adegboyega faced for inviting secular artists to perform at his birthday celebration instead of traditional gospel musicians.

However, he defended his choices by stating that these artists are his friends who support him.
Also, he cannot force gospel artists to associate with him, especially if they have joined in criticising him
