The 2027 Election may still be far away but trust Nigerian politicians, preparations for this great election are already in place with many parties, notably the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) topping the list of contenders.
While the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed a high level of optimism that no politician in Nigeria at the moment can defeat Bola Tinubu, former governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau says there is a loop-hole, and he wants the PDP to take advantage of this loop-hole.
That loop-hole is the youths.
Shekarau has urged the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at all levels to leverage the country’s youth population to win the 2027 general election.
Speaking at the unveiling of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of Northern Forum of Zonal and State Youth Leaders of PDP in Abuja, Shekarau shared his thought.
Present at the event were, Hon. Enemona Anyebe (Kogi State Chairman of PDP), DR. Joel E.B Adagadzu (North Central Zonal Organising Secretary), Dr Yunana Iliya (National Ex-Officio) among many others.

In his speech, Shekarau said leveraging on youth population would help the party to retain power.
Message To The Youths
He also enjoined the youths to rally round PDP as the only credible alternative that would take Nigeria out of its current challenges.
According to the former Kano governor, the PDP, during its 16 years in power, delivered the dividend of democracy to the people and made life better, and should be returned in 2027.
Shekarau is not far from the truth.
Don’t forget that with the youths, the Labour Party (LP) candidate in the 2023 Election, Peter Obi, was able to do great things and gave politicians a run for their money during the election.
