Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, the former women affairs minister appeared in court to represent a 5-year-old girl who was sexually abused by her class teacher.
The immediate past Minister of Women Affairs, Barr. Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, has announced that she appeared in court to represent a case involving a 5-year-old girl who was sexually abused by her class teacher.
However, this is coming about a month after she was sacked from her office by President Bola Tinubu.
Kennedy-Ohaneye was among four ministers removed from office in a major cabinet reshuffle in October.
In a post on X on Monday, November 25, 2024, the lawyer reiterated her commitment to fighting for a better society and eradicating all forms of abuse against vulnerable Nigerians, including children.
Furthermore, she noted; I remain committed to fighting for a better society. My passion for justice remains unwavering, and I will not tolerate any form of abuse, especially against vulnerable Nigerians, including children,” she wrote.

In addition, she said; “Today, I represented a heart-wrenching case involving a 5-year-old girl who was sexually abused by her class teacher. This incident strengthens my resolve to combat such heinous crimes.
Additionally, Uju said; “To those who would dare perpetrate such atrocities, let this serve as a warning. I will pursue justice relentlessly in my capacity.”
