Omoni Oboli’s latest film, The Uprising: Wives on Strike 3, has grossed an impressive ₦110 million within three weeks since its cinema debut on 17 October 2024.
Distributed by Nile Entertainment, the film made an early impact with a ₦10 million revenue in its first two days.
During its second weekend, the box office take climbed by an additional ₦40 million.
This instalment, bolstered by a pre-sale voucher system introduced before its premiere, has already become the highest-grossing release in the Wives on Strike franchise.
The film balances humour with powerful social justice themes, following a mother’s determined quest to rescue her kidnapped son.
The cast includes a lineup of Nollywood stars, such as Ufuoma McDermott, Chioma Akpotha, Hilda Dokubo, Uche Jombo, Tomiwa Wategbe, Segun Arinze, Kalu Ikeagwu, Julius Agwu, Bukunmi “Kiekie” Adeaga, and Okey Bakassi.
