Afrobeat star Burna Boy has claimed he is now wealthier than many of the Nigerian politicians and oil magnates he once admired.
The Grammy-winning singer shared the statement on his Instagram story on Saturday, October 26, 2024, urging his followers not to underestimate the potential of younger generations.
Reflecting on his journey, Burna remarked, “Imagine growing up and seeing only oil men and politicians making real money, with musicians left out of the conversation.”
“Now, an ‘ugly black musician from Port Harcourt’ has more money than 90% of the people he looked up to.”
In closing, Burna Boy advised followers to respect others’ potential, warning that today’s youth could one day rival figures like Elon Musk.
