Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya is a reported injury doubt for his side’s Premier League game against Leicester this weekend.
The 29-year-old missed Arsenal’s 5-1 Carabao Cup win over Bolton on Wednesday, with 16-year-old Jack Porter deputising in his place.
The former Brentford star played in the 2-2 draw against Manchester City last weekend but reportedly left the Etihad with an apparent limp after picking up an issue during the game.
Now, he is in a race against time to face Leicester on Saturday.
Raya has been Arsenal’s undisputed number one keeper for the best part of a year now, and in that time he has become a vital part of manager Mikel Arteta’s team.
If the ex-Blackburn Rovers man isn’t fit, that could hand Bournemouth loanee Neto his debut.
When asked if Raya would be available this weekend, Arteta said after the Bolton victory: “We don’t know yet.”
Raya began his senior career at Blackburn before having spells at non-league side Southport, Brentford and then Arsenal.
He has since racked up eight caps for Spain after making his debut in 2022.
