After being corrected by a reporter, Jackson suggested that she was misinformed
The five-time Grammy Award winner’s manager, Mo Elmasri, suggested that she had spoken “based on misinformation”

In a press statement, Elmasri said, “Janet deeply respects Vice President Kamala Harris and her achievements as a Black and Indian woman.

She apologises for any confusion caused and recognises the importance of accurate representation in public discourse.”
