Ashanti and her husband, Nelly, have announced the arrival of their first child together. The couple welcomed their baby boy, Kareem Kenkaide Hayes, on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
The new parents shared their joy on Instagram, with Ashanti posting a photo of herself in Frida Mom disposable underwear.
In a series of Instagram photos, Ashanti also shared a video of herself in a blue robe, proudly displaying her postpartum body.

“Four weeks postpartum. You have no idea what this body can do,” she said in the video.
Ashanti and Nelly first announced they were expecting in April, when they simultaneously confirmed they were engaged. Kareem is Nelly’s fifth child, and Ashanti’s first.
The couple first dated in 2003 before ending things in 2013 and then rekindling their romance in 2023.
