News of the tragic demise of veteran Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress, Ms. Onyeka Onwenu, swept through the internet on Tuesday, July 30.
On that ill fated day, Onwenu, performed at an event at Banana Island, Lagos.
It was the birthday ceremony of Stella Okoli, owner of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
Onwenu was said to have slumped after performing at the event.
She was later confirmed dead at a hospital in Victoria Island.
According to reports, Onyeka Onwenu passed away at 72.
