John Terry issued a strong response to the news of Mauricio Pochettino’s departure from Chelsea and urged the club to hold off on signing new players.
The legendary former Chelsea defender is currently back at the club as an academy coach.
He took to Instagram to express his opinion following the shocking announcement that Pochettino has left the club on mutual consent.
The ex-England star posted on an Instagram story that he was “gutted” to see the Argentine go, along with his son, Sebastiano, and assistant Jesus Perez.
Terry added in a what appeared to be a warning to Todd Boehly and the Chelsea ownership regime:
“I just hope we don’t sign or sell any players until we get a manager in.”
The announcement of Pochettino’s exit came as a shock to the Chelsea squad.
It has sparked a “meltdown” in the team WhatsApp group.
Blues stars Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer both thanked the manager via a social media posts in the wake of the news.

Chelsea will start looking for a new manager to improve on their sixth-place finish in the Premier League next season.
Also, the Stamford Bridge team will compete in Europe after a strong finish to the 2023-24 campaign under Pochettino.
