Burna Boy was recognized as an ‘Icon’ on the list, with multi-Grammy winning singer Angelique Kidjo writing a tribute to him on Time’s website.

Burna boy reacted to this success saying ‘I’m excited to witness the greater evolution of his artistry and the impact he continues to make on the world stage.”

With numerous awards and accolades, Burna Boy has established himself as one of Africa’s leading artistes.
In 2021, Burna made history in Nigeria when his fifth album, ‘Twice As Tall,’ won the ‘Best World Music Album’ category at the Grammy Awards.
