Nigerian record producer and singer, Chisom Faith, known as Rexxie, was arrested in Uganda. He shared the news on his Instagram page on Monday, March 11, 2024.
He revealed that he was being held by the Ugandan Immigration but did not give a reason for his arrest, calling it “unfair.”
The producer asked for help from his fans and urged them to demand his release with the hashtag, “UgandaFreeRexxie.”
In 2019, Nigerian singers Omah Lay and Tems were arrested and charged in Uganda for performing at a concert at Speke Resort, Kampala, despite COVID-19 social distancing regulations. They were released after spending two days in jail.
