Who would have thought that Mr. Ibu who brought so much joy to our faces on TV with his comic relief will be battling with so much pain.
Veteran Nigerian actor, John Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu is on the sick bed, battling with an unknown ailment.
Mr. Okafor is seeking help from Nigerians, as he risks his leg being amputated if nothing is done quickly about his condition.
The actor who celebrated his 62nd birthday yesterday in the hospital pleaded with Nigerians to support and pray for him to recover.
“I’ve been down for so many weeks. All I’m hoping is your prayers and assistance. As I speak to you, I’m still laying down in the hospital.
“The medical director of this hospital said the best solution, in case his new idea doesn’t work, my legs will be cut off.”
With so much pain in his eyes, Mr. Ibu expressed the biggest worries that startles the mind.
“If they cut off my legs, where do I go to from here? Please pray for me, talk to God almighty.
“I don’t want my legs to be cut off. Thank you, God bless you,” Mr. Ibu stated.
Okafor’s wife and daughter, who also appealed to the public in the video, said the actor had been down for the past two weeks.

Mr Ibu’s daughter said they were financially drained and cannot foot the bills anymore.
She pleaded with Nigerians who have the capacity to fly him abroad for better treatment to come to their rescue.
