Splash FM 105.5 in Ibadan, Oyo State, has implemented a ban on broadcasting songs by the artist Azeez Fashola, commonly referred to as Naira Marley.

This decision comes in response to the controversy surrounding Marley, following the passing of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, also known as Mohbad.

Aderonke Adesola, one of the station’s presenters, revealed this information in a post shared on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) on Monday, September 19, 2023.

Aside from Splash FM, another indigenous radio station in Ibadan has also banned all songs from Naira Marley’s Marlian Records.

How Nigerians Reacted

Upon hearing this news, some Nigerians have commended the stations for taking such steps.
