Veteran afrobeat singer, Femi Kuti has made a rather shocking decision that his body should be cremated when he dies.
According to the eldest son of Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti, he stated that he wouldn’t like a big burial ceremony but rather, a simple one and woild prefer that his body be cremated.

The musician made this known during his performance on February 5, 2022 at the New African Shrine.
He said:
“When I die, please cremate me, burn my body. It is the most hygienic way. Have you all thought about Ikoyi cemetery, this Lagos has been in existence for let’s just say 60 years and people dle, if they don’t die today, they will die tomorrow and that burial ground has never been full and if you check it, it is not like it’s 1 million acres since I was little when we used to bury people there.
