Days after pledging support to the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has promised to support the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Recall that Wike, at the venue of the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover inauguration in Port Harcourt, had promised to provide logistics support during Obi’s campaign in Rivers State.

However, in a recent development, Wike also promised to support Kwankwaso on Monday, during the inauguration of the Mgbutanwo Internal Roads in the Emohua Local Government Area.
According to Wike, the former governor of Kano State has what it takes to be president of the country.
He opined that it is unfortunate that they were not in the same party, as Kwankwaso is the kind of leader Nigeria needs.
He said: “You are a man of integrity, it is unfortunate that we are not in the same party but God will help at the appropriate time. These are the kind of people that should be talking about the leadership of the country. I want to tell you that if you are coming for a campaign here, I will give you the logistic support”.
