Nollywood stars have stormed Jos, the Plateau State capital in large numbers to show solidarity and support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu following the flag-off of his presidential campaign.

iBrandtv reports that supporters and loyalists of the ruling APC trooped out today as the party officially flagged off its campaigns for the 2023 presidential election at the Rwang Pam township stadium in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

Some Nollywood and Kanywood actors spotted at the event in Jos include Jide Kosoko, Gentle Jack, Sani Mu’azu, Foluke Daramola, Ali Nuhu, Zack Orji, Taiwo Hassan, Bimbo Akintola and Saheed Balogun among others.

Some musicians, like Terry G, and Zulezu among many others were reported to have performed at the event, and the actors danced to different songs to highlight their support for the APC candidate.

While speaking on behalf of members of the Kannywood industry in Nigeria, actor Ali Nuhu, said they were present to solicit the support of Nigerians for Tinubu and Shettima.

He appealed to those who have yet to collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) to do so to enable them to vote for the APC presidential flagbearer.

Nuhu furthered that they would do whatever was needed to mobilize their members and fans for Tinubu/Shettima.

“I am here with some of my colleagues and we are here to pledge our support for Tinubu,” he added.

Another veteran actor, Jide Kosoko, in a brief remark, said the movie stars were in Jos to show their solidarity and support for Tinubu.

Kosoko, who observed that Tinubu had the capacity to tackle the country’s challenges, noted he has proven his mettle in every position he has ever held.
