The Kwara chapter of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) has felicitated with Gov.  AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara as he marks one year in office.

The YSFON particularly commended the governor for his grassroots programmes and support within the period, a statement by its Chairman, Prince Ademola Kiyesola, on Friday said.

“Governor AbdulRazaq among other things supported Kwara YSFON to attain landmark achievements within the last 365 days in the following National and state tournaments.

“The Kwara U-14 boys (KFA) won the national MASM Cup held in Oyo State in July 2019, while U-17 Girls (Moje Queens of Erin-Ile) came third.

“In November 2019, Kwara U-13 boys won the second national YSFON Moje tournament in Erin  – Ile as Moje Oueens lost the girls U-17 to Kaduna state in the final.

“In December 2019, Kwara U-17 girls tagged Ajike Babes emerged champions of the Chief of Naval Staff/ Naval Officers Wives (NAOWA) National tournament, while the U-14 boys (AA Boys) settled for the second position.

“Kwara YSFON again made the state proud as Kwara Football Academy won the 37th edition of Ramat International U-16 Boys Cup in Kano in February,” the Kwara chapter of the YSFON acknowledged. (NAN)
