The popular saying “Youths are the leaders of tomorrow” does not hold water for Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu.
As a matter of fact, the Nigerian leader believes that youths are leaders of today and not leaders of tomorrow.
It was the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Citizenship and Leadership, Rinsola Abiola, who made this known during an interview on AIT.
She said programmes and initiatives of the federal government are targeted towards addressing the challenges facing citizens, particularly youths.
According to Rinsola Abiola, President Tinubu genuinely cares for Nigerian youths and takes issues concerning young citizens as a priority.
“To the young people of Nigeria, this is an administration that genuinely cares about you and is fully aware of its responsibilities towards you.
“President Bola Tinubu does not believe that young people are leaders of tomorrow, he believes they are leaders of today.

“We have a president who is fully aware of his responsibility to the country, who loves young people very dearly, prioritizes young people and has you at heart.
“Initiatives are being put in place, actions are being taken, a bag of tomatoes and pepper have gone from around ₦180,000 to ₦32,000.”
President Tinubu’s aide added that the government has also taken bold steps against corruption.
She added that money recovered from corruption cases has been channelled to student loan schemes to ensure the resources of the country work for the citizens.
