Roma legend Francesco Totti has criticised Lamine Yamal for not adding goals to his game, with the youngster struggling to hit the back of the net.

Italy favourite Totti has praised Barcelona prodigy Yamal but expressed some skepticism about one aspect of his game.
The former Roma forward suggested that the teenager’s form in front of goal has not been good enough, with Yamal having failed to score in La Liga since October.
Rising through the ranks at La Masia, Yamal had a breakthrough season under Xavi in the 2023-24 campaign, scoring seven goals in 50 appearances across all competitions.
Then followed EURO 2024, where he was awarded the best young player accolade.
He began the 2024-25 season under Hansi Flick in incredible form, scoring five goals in his first 11 La Liga appearances of the season.
However, his last last league goal came during the famous 4-0 thrashing of Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu and since that game on October 27, Yamal has gone 12 league games without scoring.
“He still scores few goals,”
Totti said at the Viva la Futbol podcast (h/t MARCA).
“He is very strong, he flew at the Euros…
“He seemed to be flying, then he dropped a bit, he is very good, but he still scores few goals.”

Yamal will next be seen in action on Wednesday evening, when Barcelona visit Benfica in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.
He has two goals in the competition so far this season, having netted in Barca’s final group phase game against Atalanta at the end of January.
