A student at the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) in Akoka, Lagos, was shot and killed by armed individuals who are thought to be cult members.
On September 15, 2022, at around 10 p.m., in front of the Art complex, the student Korede Paul was shot in the head.
Another student of Yabatech reported that a female student had also been shot with a gun and had been taken to the hospital.
Tayo Aina, a student, claimed to have been behind the victim when he was shot. “I was going to night class because my final exam is tomorrow, and the guy behind me fell as I heard a gunshot.
I can’t remember exactly, but there were two to three guys standing there, and I could see one of them had a gun as I fled for cover.
The victim with dreadlocks appeared in a video posted to Twitter wearing a sky blue pair of jeans and a black top. He was discovered in a bloody pool.
