Reacting to his post, the writer called the rapper to order while she explained that some of the top Nollywood movies were made by female producers.
She further stated that the rapper ignored the positive contribution by the women in the industry but rather ignited a negative debate about their efforts and by extension, women in general.
She wrote:
“A glance at the top-grossing movies in the last three to five years will show how female producers are leading in Nollywood. But as usual, a washed-up musician overlooks the positive contribution of women and has ignited a debate to further demonise actresses and women by extension.”
According to the writer, women cannot be sidelined when talking about the success of the film industry as they have been at the forefront of good movies.
