Popular Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun also known as Wizkid is currently receiving heavy backlash on social media after promoting his Made in Lagos (MIL) series amid the ongoing June 12 protest happening in the country.

Citizens across the country has trooped out to exercise their right to protest for a better Nigeria today, June 12th particularly, as the nation marks its Democracy day.

The Grammy Award winner however took to Twitter to announce the release of his MIL docuseries as his debut album Superstar clocks 10 today.

He wrote:

Recall that Wizkid had once called his colleague Reekado Banks an animal during the #EndSARS protest for promoting his song and not lending his voice to the protest.

This development has caused various reactions on social media as Nigerians tongue lash Wizkid for his actions.
