Nigerian singer Skales recently made headlines after recounting how his former label mate Wizkid never offered him support during his career.

In a post via his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, Skales clarified that only a few individuals had genuinely contributed to his growth.

He specifically mentioning his former record label boss Banky W, as well as fellow artists Olamide and Timaya.

Also, he also acknowledged the support he received from Burna Boy.

He shows respect for their role in his journey.

Skales’ message on social media read: “Put some respect on my name… I don tell una the only person sef wey help me na Olamide and Timaya and Banky W… much respect to Burna… You guys always love to see artists go against each other but ama set the record straight…

” I’m a don with this music, and all I wanna do is make music and stay away from all that negative toxic bullshit… So love your fav and stop cooking up bullshit stories” .

In response to a fan who claimed Wizkid was responsible for his success, Skales firmly denied it, urging fans to seek the truth directly from Wizkid.
