The track, released on October 19, 2024, amassed an impressive 1.1 million streams on its first day.

This remarkable achievement breaks the previous record that Wizkid shared with Asake for their collaboration “MMS” from Asake’s third album, “Lungu Boy”.

With this latest milestone, Wizkid now holds the top three spots for the highest opening day streams on Spotify Nigeria, with his collaboration “IDK” featuring Zlatan taking the third position.

“Piece of My Heart” is also the first song to reach 1 million opening day streams on Spotify from any African country.

The success of Wizkid’s latest single underscores his status as one of Nigeria’s most commercially successful artistes and highlights the growing popularity of streaming in Nigeria.

This single marks the beginning of the “Morayo” era for the Grammy winner, who is set to release his highly anticipated sixth album on November 22, 2024.

At the London release party for “Piece of My Heart,” Wizkid hinted at new songs from the upcoming album, which he dedicates to his late mother.
