Willian pens three-year Arsenal deal

Former Chelsea winger, Willian Borges, has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Arsenal, bringing an end to speculations about his future.

Arsenal announced the development on their official Twitter handle today.

The 32-year-old Brazilian becomes the first name added to Mikel Arteta’s summer revolution as he attempts to reinvigorate the squad for a top four battle in next season’s Premier League campaign, having missed out on Champions League football.

Willian joins the London club after turning down a two-year deal to remain at Stanford Bridge, and deals with Barcelona and Inter Miami.

Prior to his move, Willian spent seven years at Chelsea having joined in the summer of August 2013.

He made 47 appearances this season, notching up nine goals in the process.
