Popular on-air personality and rapper, Nnamdi Nwabasili, professionally known as N6, has raised a stark warning about Nigeria’s worsening security crisis.
Also, he asserted that the country has been at war for years but many citizens remain unaware.
He was reacting to the recent massacre in Yelwata, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, where over 200 people were reportedly killed.
N6 voiced his frustration over what he described as widespread ignorance and denial among Nigerians regarding the scale of the violence engulfing rural communities.
He shared the video on his TikTok page.
Also, the media personality argued that Nigeria has been embroiled in an undeclared war since 2016 or 2017.
He said the conflict remains invisible to many who live in major urban centres.
“Whether you want to accept it or not, Nigeria is at war. Nigerians just don’t realise it yet,” N6 stated.
He went on to explain that the conventional image of war.
“Nigerians watch too many movies. They think war means two sides facing off like a football match. But in reality, it’s not always like that,” he said.
According to him, the only reason the conflict hasn’t caused panic across the nation is because it has largely remained concentrated in rural areas.
The rural areas are far from the state capitals and commercial hubs like Lagos and Abuja.
“Ask people in the villages — they will tell you. The war is real. Just because it hasn’t reached your doorstep doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Nigeria has been at war officially since 2016/2017. Nigerians are just waiting for someone to come on TV and declare it formally before they believe it,” he added.
