Controversial Nigerian entertainer Speed Darlington has reportedly fled the country after being declared wanted by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) over serious allegations.
This includes rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.
The self-styled “Energy God” came under heavy fire following a disturbing video he shared on Instagram.
In the video, he narrated an encounter involving a 15-year-old girl and allegedly paying a hotel staff ₦2,000 to clean bloodstained bedsheets.
“I told him to come and wash the blood that came out of the 15-year-old girl…”
— Speed Darlington, in a now-viral Instagram video.
The statement many viewed as an admission of inappropriate behaviour, sparked widespread outrage on social media.
Although Speed Darlington later issued a public denial, claiming he had no sexual involvement with the minor, the controversial video had already gone viral.
This prompted NAPTIP’s intervention.
Shortly after being declared wanted, fresh videos surfaced online allegedly showing Speed Darlington exiting Nigeria via the airport.
In one of the clips, he is seen dragging his suitcases while complaining about a long layover aboard Air Peace.
He also hinted in his caption that he had landed in New York City, USA.
The development has raised further concern.
