DIVERSE investor, Lawrence Wilbert, has described products of Unity Schools as Nigeria’s greatest and most successful investment in human capital development.

Wilbert, President General, Unity Schools Old Students Association (USOSA) made the observation as the 15th Federal Government College (FEDCOL) Games came to a close weekend in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
Represented on the occasion by Mrs Chioma Aninwe, USOSA’s Assistant Secretary General, Wilbert said the spirit of patriotism and success in life common among leavers of Unity Schools complements present day Nigeria which needs achievers to make real progress.
He challenged USOSAns to always exemplify the philosophy of quality instruction and inter-community coexistence for which Federal Government set up Unity Colleges between the mid 1960s and 1980s as basis of national unity and development.
He said, It behoves all products of the Unity Schools, by far, Nigeria’s greatest and most successful investment in human capital development to stay true to the ethos of the Unity Schools.
He praised the ‘Can-do’ determination displayed by the athletes as true spirit of champions which is key in driving the much required progress in Nigeria while commending Old Students across the 104 Unity Schools whose presence built confidence in the younger ones competed for laurels.
USOSA will continue to advance the course of unity, strength, stability and progress through quality education while creating a community of old students of Unity Schools positively impacting lives.
At the end of the sports fiesta, USOSAns celebrated FGC Daura, FGC Odogbolu and FGC Enugu and FGC Nise who topped the medal table at 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
