The South African singer, who became popular last year with her song “Water,” was supposed to start her Tour on March 21 in Oslo, Norway, with eight international dates planned before returning to the U.S.

However, the North American shows have been completely canceled, while she plans to reschedule her U.K. and European dates.

She wrote on social media, “I’ve been dealing with an injury for the past year that has sadly gotten worse. I’ve seen doctors and specialists hoping for improvement, but the pain has only gotten worse, as has the seriousness of the situation.”

“I’m really sad to say this, but right now I won’t be able to continue with the tour,” she added. “After speaking with medical experts, it’s clear that going ahead with any festival or tour dates would put my long-term health and safety at risk.”
