There is heavy traffic gridlock at the Berger-Alausa-Magodo axis of Lagos State following a fuel tanker explosion on Otedola bridge, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday.

The tanker caught fire sometime around 6pm.
In a bid to avoid the flames, many drivers attempted to make a U-turn and change their routes, thereby leading to a congestion of traffic.

The incident has led to many being stranded on the routes leading to the accident spot.
Attempts to contact the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) DG, Femi Oke-Osayintolu, proved abortive as of press time.o
