Toyin Abraham Ajewole has been caught in the midst of a social media war.
This is because the Nigerian actress arrested an online user with username, Big Ayo, who defamed her on Twitter (X) over her political choice during the 2023 presidential elections.
In the post which has been deleted, he said: “Mrs @toyin_abraham1 walai aiye e ti ta!! You collected Tinubu’s money to do a hair transplant for your husband……. Stoppid fool”
The enraged actress who has been getting a series of threats online over her life and family because of her political choice unleashed her anger on Big Ayo to serve as a deterrent to others who kept bullying and raining curses on her at every slightest opportunity.
This sparked a huge controversy online as many attacked her action and called on Netflix, wikipedia and other online platforms to take down her movies as they united to give her movies bad reviews.
They trended the hashtag #freeAyo on Twitter(X).
Also, the enraged netizens threatened not to watch her movies as they talked down on her craft.
However, some of her colleagues and other Nigerians supported her move as they claimed she is human and has endured the bully meted out to her for a very long time.
Also, one of her supporters and colleague, Saidi Balogun said freedom of speech comes with consequences too.

In addition, he said celebrities should be allowed to also take actions that protect their mental space too.
