
President Bola Tinubu on Thursday launched key infrastructure projects in Kaduna — a skills acquisition institute, a 300-bed specialist hospital, and 100 CNG buses — during a one-day visit at the invitation of Governor Uba Sani.
His arrival drew a strong lineup of political figures and heightened security as the state rolled out a grand reception for the President.
Tinubu Kaduna Infrastructure Launch
President Bola Tinubu visited Kaduna State on Thursday for a one-day working trip, following an invitation from Governor Uba Sani, to inaugurate several major projects executed by the state government.
Arrival In Kaduna
Upon his arrival at the Kaduna airport, top officials welcomed the President.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin led the delegation.
Meanwhile, Governor Uba Sani personally received the President, alongside the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.
Governors And Ministers In Attendance
Furthermore, several governors travelled to Kaduna to welcome the President.

These included Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Monday Okpebholo (Edo), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), and Nasir Idris (Kebbi).
Additionally, federal cabinet members and other state officials joined the reception.
Ceremonial Welcome And Motorcade
Shortly after the Nigerian Air Force band delivered the ceremonial military guard of honour, the President’s convoy departed for Government House in central Kaduna.
Commissioning Of Key Projects
Throughout the day, President Tinubu commissioned three key projects.
First, he inaugurated the Institute of Skill Acquisition and Development at Riga Chukun.
Then, he unveiled a 300-bed Specialist Hospital at Millennium City.
Finally, he launched 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to boost intra-city transportation.
Civic Reception At Murtala Square
Later in the afternoon, he served as the special guest at a grand civic reception at Murtala Square, where he addressed a crowd of dignitaries, stakeholders, and residents.
Change Of Schedule For Benue Visit
Initially, the President had planned the visit for Wednesday.
However, he postponed the trip by one day to visit Benue State, where he assessed the aftermath of brutal attacks that claimed nearly 200 lives and displaced hundreds.
Tight Security And Traffic Diversions
In preparation for the visit, security operatives strengthened their presence across Kaduna metropolis.
They also redirected traffic on Kawo Bridge and Independence Way between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. to ensure safe and smooth movement for the President’s motorcade.
By evening, the President concluded his engagements and departed for Abuja.
