TikTok sensation, Khaby Lame, has voluntarily left the United States following his detention by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over visa issues.
The 25-year-old Italian citizen, born in Senegal, overstayed his visa after entering the U.S. on April 30, 2025. ICE detained him on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
An ICE spokesperson said that Lame accepted voluntary departure the same day and has since left the country.
Khaby Lame, whose real name is Seringe Khabane Lame, rose to fame with his viral TikTok videos, amassing over 162 million followers worldwide.
Khaby moved from Senegal to Italy as a child and officially became an Italian citizen in 2022.
His departure comes amid increased immigration enforcement under the current U.S. administration, which has seen a significant rise in arrests and deportations of individuals violating visa terms.
